Install LV-1710 casters on Grizzly GO636X bandsaw

June 12, 2008 – 12:49 pm
Casters easily bolted to existing holes used to attach saw to pallet during shipping. This 600+ lb. saw easily rolls on smooth concrete.  Color even matches saw. Good value. You do have to get on your knees to raise and lower stabilizer, not too inconvenient for infrequent moving. Doubt if larger casters would work on such a heavy saw, probably be too unstable. Thanks for your post Bret. Bret purchased LV-1710-NYP-S-M12

Thanks again for making a great caster, I will be back. :On a side note, I bought two different models & used the other set for my second PC.    Thanks for the post Mike.   Mike purchased: TWUN-65N-P02-VS http://www.greatlakescaster.com/great_lakes_caster___un_hooded_twin_wheel___65mm_designer_twin_wheel_un_hooded_caster_with_top_plate-TWUN-65N-P02-VS.php      TWUN-60N-P02-GS http://www.greatlakescaster.com/great_lakes_caster___un_hooded_twin_wheel___60mm_designer_twin_wheel_un_hooded_caster_with_top_plate-TWUN-60N-P02-GS.php

Antique Desk Chair

March 15, 2008 – 12:21 pm
The casters from Great Lakes were a perfect fit.  A few weeks ago I bought an antique desk chair in Tryon, NC, but it was missing the original casters.  The new ones from Great Lakes Caster with their antique brass finish were a great match appearance-wise and the spherical roller design probably rolls and swivels much better than the old fashioned cylindrical kind they replaced. Regards, Rick B. Erognomics: er·go·nom·ics (ûr’gə-nŏm’ĭks)

October 23, 2007 – 1:23 pm
In 1994, 6 out of 10 lost work days at Minneapolis-based 3M could be traced to ergonomic-related problems. In 1993, the estimated cost to 3M for ergonomic-related cases was $13 million, not including unmeasured indirect costs, such as salaries for replacement workers, overtime and injury-related paperwork. 3M's goal is to establish trained employee "ergo" teams in each of the company's 132 manufacturing facilities in the United States. Such teams at the company's plant in New Ulm, Minn., for instance, led to substantial increases in safety, productivity and cost-effectiveness. --- Erognomics: er·go·nom·ics (ûr'gə-nŏm'ĭks) n. (used with a sing. verb) The applied science of equipment design, as for the workplace, intended to maximize productivity by reducing operator fatigue and discomfort. Also called biotechnology, human engineering; Also called human factors engineering. --- Erognomics - Increasing capacity doesn’t always relate to easier ergonomic push force reduction – talk to us to learn the 3 ways to improve ergonomics (increase ...

What is ACH? Automated Clearing House (ACH) is the name of an electronic network for financial transactions in the United States. ACH processes large volumes of both credit and debit transactions which are originated in batches. Rules and regulations governing the ACH network are established by NACHA-The Electronic Payments Association, formerly the National Automated Clearing House Association, and the Federal Reserve (Fed). In 2002, this network processed an estimated 8.05 billion ACH transactions with a total value of $21.7 trillion.  In the rest of the developed world, these rules and regulations are defined by each country's regulatory bodies. European Payments Council is currently implementing a PE-ACH, Pan-European ACH. ACH credit transfers include direct-deposit payroll payments and payments to contractors and vendors. ACH debit transfers include consumer payments on insurance premiums, mortgage loans, and other kinds of bills. Businesses are also increasingly using ACH to collect from customers online, rather than accepting credit ...
